Designated Consultant

Oregon requires tax preparation businesses to employ a Licensed Tax Consultant (LTC) as the Designated Consultant. That person is authorized to sign tax returns prepared by the firm. Oregon prosecutes unlicensed preparers that sign returns.

Dale Boss, LTC, is the Designated Consultant for dboss, inc.

An LTC can't address the IRS directly on behalf on clients. I support and advise you in addressing the IRS.

About Dale Boss

Dale received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1978 from Hope College and a Master of Computer Science in 1980 from Purdue University.

He moved to Portland in 1980 to work for Intel Corporation until 1996.

He gained certification from the Oregon Board of Tax Practitioners as a Licensed Tax Preparer in 1996, and as a Licensed Tax Consultant in 2000.

He keeps abreast of changes in the field and completes 30 hours of continuing education each year to renew this certification.
